How to Boil the Perfect Egg

I have messed up so many boiled eggs. She can't even boil water comes to mind when I think that a boiled egg really can be messed up; well there is a trick to it. My thing was sometimes they turned out good and sometime they didn't. Nothing worse than peeling the egg and that skin under the shell makes the egg white come off with it, WTF.....
Ingredients
Eggs
Water
pan with lid
Place eggs in the saucepan, it does not matter if it is 2 or 12 eggs, this way works. Just cover them with cold water, not too deep. Do NOT salt the water. Turn Stove HIGH
 Once they start to boil; boil for  3 minutes.
When the time is up, quickly take off the heat, put on the lid let them sit for 8 minutes.
When 8 minutes are up, take to sink and run cold water over them for about a minute, let them soak a bit to cool off. They will peel best if you set them in the refrigerator for about 1/2 to 1 hour, but you can eat them now!
